Comparative Evaluation of Surface Roughness of Cention N after Brushing Simulation with Herbal and Fluoridated Toothpaste - An In-vitro Study

Introduction: Cention N, a new alternative tooth coloured resin based filling material. Toothbrushing abrasion is key issue in restorative dentistry. A smooth surface crucial factor to be considered for establishing successful restoration because the roughness of material results plaque deposition, discoloration restoration, microleakage and secondary caries. The present study aims evaluating N before after brushing with herbal toothpaste fluoridated toothpaste.
 Materials Methods: total 8 samples were prepared randomly divided into two groups 2 as Group A- toothpaste(n=4), B- toothpaste(n=4). placed simulator 30000 cycles their was evaluated by using stylus profilometer-Mitutoyo SJ 310 collected statistical analysis performed software “SPSS VERSION 23” its are demonstrated form bar graph.
 Results: Ra values both simulation constant only Rq Rz showed difference between groups. There no notable changes parameters “paired t test” depicts that p value parameter 0.359 which (p<0.05), hence statistically insignificant.
 Conclusion: Brushing did not influence significant increase or decrease indicates cention can withstand abrasive forces, but vary oral cavity environment.
